Congratulations to my colleagues Ed Fitzgerald-O’Connor, Victoria Rose and Asmat Din for organising and running the inaugural Orthoplastics Conference at King’s College Hospital, London. There were over a 140 delegates registered to attend the meeting.
I was honoured to be part of the faculty and spoke about techniques in fracture fixation. It was an exceptional and inspirational day with many speakers talking about the current and future management strategies in open fractures. The list of faculty was a who’s who of leading experts. The international guest speaker was Jason Souza from Walter Reed Medical Centre, Washington DC, USA who spoke about amputee management and targeted muscle reinnervation.
